Air Conditioner Cleaning for the Sunshine Coast Region

Your Complete Air Conditioner Cleaning & Sanitisation Service

Why should I HydroKleen my air conditioner/heat pump?

There are 3 very good reasons for cleaning your air conditioners regularly.

1. SAVE ON YOUR POWER BILL
HydroKleening a dirty Air Conditioner/Heat Pump can save you up to 30% power usage for that unit. When dirty, a unit has to work harder to cool or heat the air because it is effectively choking as it tries to draw air through it, to be cooled or warmed. The harder a unit has to work, in order to get the desired result, the more power it uses!

2. MICROBIAL CONTAMINATION
All regularly used air conditioners/heat pumps become infected with “microbial contamination” which includes fungi, mould and bacteria. Air Conditioners/Heat Pumps are the perfect environment for such contaminants and of course, become airborne every time you switch your unit on, which is bad news for Asthma and allergy suffers, children and the sick. A HydroKleen virtually eradicates microbial contamination, so you can Breathe Healthy again.

3. YOUR AIR CONDITIONER WILL LAST LONGER
A regularly cleaned air conditioner will last a lot longer than one that never gets cleaned. If you purchased a new car and never serviced it, you would easily shorten its life expectancy by up to 75%! Your air conditioner is no different.
In summary – consumers are generally not aware of the above and so are under the belief that cleaning your filters is enough. In truth, cleaning your filters is only “basic maintenance”. After regular usage the whole head unit also needs to be “correctly” HydroKleened.

What is the difference between FIT and NOT ‘Fit for Purpose’

“The Low Volume Water vs Medium Volume Water, Coil Cleaning Myth”

A commonly touted myth is that using medium volume (7.0 LPM) water cleaning risks damaging the coil fins whereas using low volume (1.7 LPM) is safer and better for your Air Con. Unfortunately low volume washing does not push mould, dirt and grime all the way through to the rear and out of the coil, thus rendering it less efficient than before a clean as the back of the coil can become blocked. Medium volume hot water forces the muck all the way through and will not damage the coil. Using a stiff brush on the front of a coil on the other hand can do serious damage to the front of the coil by squashing the fins, hence rendering it less efficient.
